📝 It’s Almost Closing Time

You’ve found your dream home, your offer has been accepted, and inspections and appraisals are complete—so now what? The period between “offer accepted” and “keys in hand” can feel like the longest wait of the entire process. The good news? Closing doesn’t have to be stressful if you know what to expect.


✅ The Final Stretch

Closing is the last step in the homebuying journey. It’s the day you sign the paperwork, finalize your loan, and officially become the homeowner. Leading up to that moment, there are a few important items to check off.


🔍 Final Walk-Through

Usually scheduled a day or two before closing, the final walk-through ensures the home is in the same condition as when you went under contract and that any agreed-upon repairs are complete. It’s your chance to double-check before signing.


💰 Closing Disclosure

At least three days before closing, you’ll receive a Closing Disclosure from your lender. This document details your loan terms, monthly payment, and closing costs. Review it carefully and ask questions if anything seems unclear.


🖊️ Signing the Papers

On closing day, you’ll sign a stack of documents covering your loan, title, and ownership. Your agent and title company will walk you through it step by step so you understand what you’re signing.


🔑 Keys in Hand

Once everything is signed and funds are transferred, it’s official—you’re a homeowner! That’s when you’ll get the keys and can start moving in.
